I am serious as a heart attack when I say I would not be alive today had it not been for the charitable organizations and persons whose kindness far surpass any monetary gift.

I was so disgusted to find that of the funds I have donated in the past (lots of commas & zeroes), only a very small percentage of the funds actually make it to where they need it the most. Large non-profit organizations are keeping such a HUGE cut for their administrative costs. In addition to the percentage of my website sales, I have donated boxes of stuffed animals to children's shelters; blankets and pillows to domestic abuse shelters; educational games to after school latchkey children's programs; and drop-shipped packaged food products to emergency shelters after the fires - I help people who are in bad situations by no fault of their own. I believe in a help up, not hand outs.

Yes, I know, I know - My CPA has already told me my donations are not tax-deductible, since I cannot get receipts for my donations. I am not stupid, I would rather know my money is going to where I think it is needed, instead of lining the pockets of "administrators". Stop sending me e-mail telling me how stupid I am for doing it this way. I do not care about tax write-offs, as long as someone is getting the help they need.

I had a section where I actually had photos of children and people at the shelters, but I have been advised not to post them, since I the kids are underage and I have the people in the shelter have no idea who I am or that they are going to be somehow associated with an adult site.
